Kirk Lord Bass and Vocals
About Kirk:
My first experience with music was listening to my Mom and Dad's record collection,
a variety of L.P.'s ranging from The Kingston Trio, Al Hurt, and Elvis Presley to Miles Davis and
Johnny Cash. At the tender age of 15 I bought an electric guitar and strung it with bass guitar strings,
because my brother who played guitar needed a bass player. I played electric bass in various garage
bands through out High School until I met Bob ( who lived up the Street ) who asked me to play
upright Bass in an early incarnation of the Vermont based Bluegrass band, The Lost Posse.
I played in that band for about four years, until I was asked to join an electric original band called Hell Toupee.
Another stint with electric music ensued. One day Bob recommended me to a friend who was looking to
fill an Upright Bass slot in a local Rockabilly band, Buck and the Black Cats. After playing and recording
with the Black Cats for five years, the band finally ran it's course. Another call from Bob and I was playing
acoustic bass with some of the finest Bluegrass acoustic pickers in the Northeast.....
